We work to increase knowledge and awareness of substance use, address environmental barriers, and build long-term capacity within the community for addressing such substance abuse.

 

Outpatient Services

Areas of focus and support available include the following:

  1. Anxiety & Stress
  2. Depression
  3. Anger Management
  4. Behavioral Change
  5. Marital problems
  6. Domestic Violence
  7. Women’s Issues
  8. Crisis Response
  9. Tragedy and Coping

We provide individual and family counseling. One-on-one counseling is available for the substance abuser and/or family members. Level I Outpatient Treatment is classified as treatment up to 8 hours per week of group therapy. Individual counseling is available as needed. Level II Intensive Outpatient Treatment is classified as treatment up to 15 hours per week of group therapy. Individual counseling is also available as needed. Continuing Care Programs classify as 2 hours of group therapy per week.

Child and Family Services: Counsel for children and adolescents is available and is extended to family, and group therapy. Topics such as academic behavior, divorce & family change, child and sexual abuse, and eating, anxiety and depressive disorders are among areas covered in therapy.

Divorce and Children’s Counseling: This service allows discussion for stages of divorce and how to approach children with the aftereffects of divorce. Instructors cover issues of life changes and make possible visitation better understood.

Basic Parenting Workshop: An eventful workshop that engages the individual to absorb the six areas for effective parenting. The curriculum parallels the National Extension Parent Education Model of Critical Parenting Practices.
